KENNETH HERZBERG has been involved in different facets of commercial and residential real estate for the last 20 years. During that time he has worked closely with real estate developers, REITS, commercial banks, equity and debt funds, family offices as well as other public and private institutions.
Having spent the last 7 years at the Carlton Group where he worked on the Investment Banking and Advisory side structuring and procuring debt and equity capital for complicated transactions he was also a founding partner of the hospitality group. Kenneth identified financing opportunities for new development, including joint ventures, mixed-use schemes, casino gaming and resort development. He also had a thriving business working with clients in the Caribbean, Mexico and other Latin American locations.
Prior to joining Carlton, Kenneth played key roles in raising capital and working on operating structures for ground-up development. While at Madison Equities, a major New York City developer, he leveraged his relationships with financial institutions, developers and international hotel companies to originate over two billion dollars in structured financing for new development and was involved in the ground up development of Starwood’s W Hotel in Times Square and a Marriott Courtyard on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. During the 1990's Kenneth spent time as a leasing broker for the Lansco Corporation as well as managing his own firm that assembled land, worked on sub-divisional approvals and placed financing for the single-family homebuilders. He started his professional career in the Food and Beverage business working in management positions for the top restaurants in New York City as well as the Hilton Corporation. Kenneth resides in New York City with his wife and two children.
